While the clinic offers some teaching supplies, we were lacking a strong visual component for our condom demonstration.
So we asked the local carpenter to make a “woody.” I have never seen him complete a project so quickly.
Around here, where time appears to be relative, it is expected for meeting to start much later than planned. So when we told the youth to arrive at 5pm, we were quite surprised to see 30 young adults, both male and female, waiting for us at 4:30.
Not surprisingly, they were engaged and had many questions. We eventually had to stop the session, because it was getting late.
When I asked our original inquirer what he had learned, he said that the first discussion was helpful, but the presentation really help solidify the teaching.
Both popular and needed, Dr. Brinvert and I look forward to more classes in the near future.
