Cholera Preparedness in Bas Limbe

Recently, the Bas Limbe region has experienced heavy rainfall. Many communities’ roads were impassable and rivers had flooded their banks. Farmlands were flooded and some livestock were washed into the Bas Limbe River.

However, many people took advantage of the downpour, by gathering up the hordes of crabs that came as a result.

Tip of the Tap

Today we built a tippy tap at the guesthouse. We’re using this to demonstrate to the community the type of hand washing they can have at their homes. As we are planning with the community a series of latrines, we have many meetings at the guesthouse. Our plan is to share a bit of food at the meeting, and have everyone use the tap before the meetings start.
